Ingredients:
3 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves of garlic minced
1 green bell pepper chopped
1 medium sized onion finely chopped
1 lb (1/2 kg) ground beef
2 tbsp italian herb seasoning
1 8 oz can tomato paste
1 14 oz can of unflavored tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp of crushed red pepper (optional)
Directions:
In a large sauce pan, heat olive oil
over medium heat. Add green bell peppers,
garlic and onion. Cook for 5 minutes
in medium high heat. Add ground beef
and cook till the beef is done. Add
the tomato paste, tomato sauce, water,
italian seasoning and sugar. Mix the
sauce well and bring to a boil. Let
simmer for 20 minutes and add red pepper.
Serve over pasta.
