Ingredients:
Fish cut into small pieces - 1/2 lb
ginger - 2 tsp
garlic - 2 tsp
pearl onions (or a piece of onion) - 3
green chillies split into pieces - 2
curry leaves
red chilli powder - 2 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
kudam puli (tamarind)
fenugreek
mustard
salt
Directions:
Make a paste out of ginger, garlic and pearl onions.
Wash kudam puli well.
Splatter mustard and fenugreek in little oil, add curry
leaves, add the ginger-garlic-pearl onion paste, green
chillies and saute. Add the chilli powder and turmeric
powder and then 1 cup water, salt and kudam puli and let
it boil well.
Spread he fish pieces on the pot (mud pot preffered for
good taste) and add the syrup made into it and cook for
15 minutes on medium fire.
