Ingredients:
Ani seed - 2 tbsp
Popi seed - 1 tbsp
coconut (grated) - 1 cup
Brinjal - 5
Onion - 1
Oil - 1/2 cup
turmeric powder - a pinch
Salt to taste.
Directions:
Grind coconut, aniseed, popiseed together
into a fine paste.
Shorten the stem. Hold the stem of a
brinjal, start from the tip of the brinjal
and slit it like a flower. Make sure
the stem stays. Put it in water. Do the
same for all.
In a fry pan add 1/2 cup oil heat it
and add few aniseed(whole). Within 3-5
seconds add chopped onion. Saute it untill
golden brown. And then add brinjal. Saute
it for 1 min. Add grounded paste, pinch
of turmeric power, enough salt and enough
water and cook it. After water dryed
out put it in sim for at least 10 mins.
Turn the brinjal often so that we can
fry it evenly. Do this untill oil spilts
up.
